The most popular trailers are car transporters to carry vehicles up to 2.7 tonnes. Most have winches but all will have braked axles and are supplied with straps to secure the vehicles.

Our current transporter is a Bateson 3500 kgs gross weight beaver tail with tilting deck. Bed size is 16' long and 6' 6" wide. Overall length is 23'. This is ideal for those cars with low front ground clearance. NB Rear corner post sockets are 6" high and 6'2" apart.

We can also supply small goods trailers from 5' x 3' for camping and 6' x 4', 8' x 4' and upwards for general purpose use.

Those wishing to move furniture or items that need to be kept dry or secure can hire a van trailer from 7 ' x 5' x 5', 8' x 5' x 6', 10' x 5' x 6' and often larger trailers may be available.

IMPORTANT. When hiring a trailer you will need to bring the following:

1. Your driving licence with your current name and address
2. Another form of proof of address such as a gas, telephone, electricity bill with your current name and address
3. A number plate for the towing vehicle. The long, rectangular type.
4. Please ensure that the top of your towball is about 17" from the ground. This applies to 4 x 4 vehicles in particular.
5. Those hiring trailers must have passed their test before 1st January 1997 or have passed the additional B+E driving test
